Last month, the Rotary Club Franschhoek and Drakenstein Valley (RCFDV) organised a well-attended and successful Raffle and Auction at the Paarl Golf Club. The function, which included a great three course dinner, was attended by 90 people and fattened the coffers with over R60 000! The money will be spent on various projects for the Franschhoek community. Some of the projects the club is involved in are:
· various music projects, aimed at the Franschhoek and Drakenstein Valley youth,
· youth leadership training
· various education projects, including ECD teachers
· improving computer literacy in the community at Hope Through Action IT Centre
Our Rotary club is always looking for new members who are willing to join an enthusiastic club, for doing good works in the community and having some fun. Rotary Club Franschhoek and Drakenstein Valley is part of Rotary International, the largest and oldest service club organisation in the world.
